Thankfully with the original, there isn’t a lot of buildings, which is why I decided to make the buildings as close to the original as possible (even though there are only a couple buildings that don’t look exactly like the ones in the original, because I don’t feel like adding in more upon more effort into making those, since they are really detailed). It isn’t 100% perfect (just like the other remakes I will do going down the line), but it is as close as I want to get with it without trying to make the performance tank. Now I decided to make this map, because I wanted to remake one of my favorite maps from my favorite game of all time, and make it from the ground up. Do not let them seize control of the airfield, or else it will open up multiple gateways to other key strategic strongholds we possess in the East Hormozgan Province. Luckily for us there are plenty of vehicles we possess in the area thanks to some reinforcements backing us up, which are enough to push back the invading forces to the coast.

Filled with smooth hills, fortifications, buildings, and a road that splits the two, the USMC, and MEC must work together through the use of vehicles in order to take over the coast. Gulf of Oman is a medium sized, modern themed, desert / coastal themed map that pits the USMC at a carrier offshore, and four fortifications near the coast, while the MEC has control of an airfield, and three control points at three unique locations nearby. However, performance with mods can be quite irritating, so keep in mind that if you are going to use modded vehicles, and raise the bot count.

I did this to let you, the viewers see what the map looks like without the terrain being pixelated, because I used pixel error (and will continue to use it on more large scale maps) for better performance (though at times the frames dipped into the low 30s sometimes on my PC with default everything). Note: The terrain on the minimap you see on the first image isn’t what it looks like in the final version.
